Oregon School Bus & Pedestrian Rules

In a school speed zone, obey the reduced speed limit of 20 mph when indicated. Stop and yield when children enter a crosswalk or a school crossing guard signals, and remain stopped until the children clear the crosswalk.

Oregon Move Over & Emergency Scenes

On a road with two or more lanes going the same direction, move over when approaching any stopped motor vehicle with flashing lights; you may also slow down by at least 5 miles per hour under the posted speed limit. At emergency scenes, slow down, prepare to stop, and do not drive over fire hoses unless officials tell you to.

Oregon Right-of-Way Rules

At uncontrolled intersections, yield to any vehicle already in the intersection or approaching from your right; at a “T” intersection, traffic on the road that ends must yield to traffic on the through road. Before entering a roundabout, yield to traffic inside and exiting it.
